I AM RAW is more than just an artist name; it’s a pseudonym derived from the last name Amraoui. Launched in 2023, he has over thirty years of experience in the international music industry, working with major labels and artists, placing productions in commercials and films, and collaborating with names ranging from Paul Wall to Somaya Reece (Love & Hip Hop NY). He also worked closely with Fab Morvan (Milli Vanilli) – including a world premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Show – Where Are They Now? and a collaboration with a well-known Arab singer from Dubai.

He discovered Dutch rap artists Miss Dee and Keizer. For Miss Dee, he secured a deal with Sony BMG, arranged her appointment as youth ambassador for the Dutch Red Cross, and toured the world together – with one of the highlights being Miss Dee as support act for Dizzee Rascal at Ministry of Sound, London, in collaboration with Sony PlayStation Europe. For Keizer, he partnered with the producer team RC Beatz as executive producer on Keizer’s first single “MIJN TIJD” and introduced him to FunX, jumpstarting his career in Dutch hip hop.

Under his alter ego I AM RAW, he chose the underground path. In just one year since 2023, he released over 150 tracks, featured on 20+ international compilations. From hypnotic deep house to pounding techno, heavy drum & bass and raw dubstep – his sound radiates pure underground energy.

In addition to his solo work, I AM RAW is co-founder of Repressure Recordings, a globally respected electronic music label founded in 2010.
